Piotr Mizia M.A. – proprietor of “Proofreader” Translation Agency.

The “Proofreader” Translation Agency has been in existence since 1991.

Piotr Mizia, the proprietor graduated from the English Philology Department of the Jagiellonian University in Cracow with honours. He has had many years of experience in the teaching of English at the Jagiellonian University, the Pedagogical University of Cracow and the University School of Physical Education in Cracow, where he continues to conduct classes.

He has extensive experience in both written and oral translations, including commissions for the District Court in Cracow, the lawyers’ offices and notaries, as well as the New York Times office in Warsaw.

The course of Mr Mizia’s professional career bears testimony to his special talents and skills in specialized translations in the following areas: legal documents, medicine, architecture, art, humanities, theology, as well as in proofreading of English texts. Mr Mizia has translated numerous books, academic papers, articles and art catalogues. He also performs certified translations. Among others, he has cooperated with the Jagiellonian University Press, IRSA, “Misericordia” Press and St. Stanislas Publishing House, as well as with the John Paul II Centre in Cracow.
